Carriers have been changing their rates, underwriting guidelines and areas of focus dramatically and indications show that this won’t be changing any time soon. It will be important to diversify your premium volume with MIAA partnership carriers if you’ve been getting notifications that a carrier is interested in closing your code for very little or no premium. It will also be important to follow the carriers’ changing underwriting recommendations and guidelines (no mono-line homes for example). In doing these things you won’t burn carrier bridges that may prove to be very useful in the days to come. With the changing market no one
